Apartments for Rent in the Central West End, St. Louis

One neighborhood, diverse communities

Every Mac community in St. Louis has its own character, but they're all built around the same tree-lined streets, walkability, and proximity to Forest Park.

Central West End

The Central West End is Mac's core St. Louis neighborhood — a historic district of grand apartment buildings and rowhouses on the eastern edge of Forest Park. Communities here include Parc Frontenac, One Hundred Above the Park, Montclair on the Park, Landesman, Terrace and Gerhardt.

DeBaliviere Place

Just north of the Central West End, DeBaliviere Place is a smaller historic district with its own mix of apartment buildings, close to the Delmar Loop's restaurants, music venues and shops. Communities here include Kingsbury and Georgian Court.

Wydown-Skinker

A tiny adjacent to WashU Danforth campus.  Dorchester is located here. Residents walk to WashU’s main campus (Danforth) along Skinker Blvd , across the street into Forest Park or visit Demun (1 block away) for coffee shops, dessert shops and restaurants.

Rent in the Central West End's vibrant community

The Central West End is one of St. Louis's most walkable, historic neighborhoods — a district of grand early-1900s apartment buildings and rowhouses sitting on the eastern edge of Forest Park, one of the largest urban parks in the country.

Mac's CWE apartments carry the character that defines the neighborhood: hardwood floors, historic detail, and rooftop terraces with sunset views over the park at buildings like Parc Frontenac and One Hundred Above the Park. Residents are minutes from Barnes-Jewish Hospital, the Washington University School of Medicine, the Cortex Innovation District, and Euclid Avenue's restaurant row, with Forest Park's museums, zoo and trails serving as an everyday backyard.

The Central West End's mix of grand historic architecture, walkability and green space makes it one of the city's most distinctive places to call home.

We're also located near several museums like the Saint Louis Art Museum, the Muny, and Missouri History Museum, and the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis.

Delightful Residents in Delightful Homes

Mac's Central West End communities draw medical students, residents and staff from Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Hospital, researchers at the Cortex Innovation District, and young professionals and families who want a walkable, historic neighborhood next to one of the country's great urban parks.

The Central West End has been part of Mac's St. Louis footprint for years — not just leasing units, but building a community of residents who've made this stretch of the city home.

In the Central West End, community extends well beyond your apartment home. Join neighbors for themed dinners, social gatherings, local maker events, and resident-led workshops, all curated to bring people together. With the resident app keeping everyone connected, it's easy to find your next favorite event right at home.

We care about you and your home! Mac builds, renovates, and manages every property in its St. Louis portfolio directly — which means the same team that leases your apartment is responsible for maintaining it.
